who we are

Relief for the Weary came about when Mike Tubb developed cancer. For several months he was fighting for his life and was unable to care for his yard. Mike had always taken great pride in maintaining his yard and was grateful when members of his neighborhood and church pulled together to ensure his yard was maintained during this difficult time.

Jason Tubb was deeply touched by the care his dad, Mike, received from his community. As a landscape designer, Jason was often in a position to see that other people did not have such rich community support. He felt called to find a way to bridge the gap that so many people experience when unexpected events occur. At first, he helped those he could but the more he did, the more he saw that needed to be done. As a result, Jason started Relief for the Weary.

Whether you are an individual who wants to serve or are part of a group looking for service opportunities, Relief for the Weary is happy to connect you with those who need your support. If you know someone who needs assistance, please look to our eligibility criteria to see if Relief for the Weary can help.
